At Artywood - Art in Wood, we work hard to make our organization and website accessible to people with disabilities in order to promote equal rights and transparency for people with disabilities.
We invest significant resources to make this website accessible to allow a browsing experience for the entire population, and especially for people with disabilities.
Our guiding motto is human dignity and liberty, as this is a cornerstone of Israeli society, meaning we all have equal rights and are essentially equal.

The Essence of an Accessible Website

An accessible website is a website that allows a person with a disability to browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as other users, using the capabilities of the system on which it operates and through assistive accessibility technologies.

Implementing Accessibility Adjustments on the Website

The accessibility adjustments on the website were made in accordance with Section G: Internet Services in the Regulations for Equal Rights for People with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments for Service) 2013, to the Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 guidelines. The website was made accessible to AA level and subject to changes and adjustments made in the Israeli Standard document.

This website integrates an accessibility plugin that helps make the site accessible to people with disabilities according to the global standards WCAG, EAA, & ADA.

The application aims to comply with the most stringent conditions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at AA level. Following these guidelines helps us make the site accessible to blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairments, cognitive impairments, and more.

The application uses a variety of technologies designed to make the site as accessible as possible. We have activated an accessibility interface that allows people with specific disabilities to edit the site interface and design it according to their personal needs.

The application allows the user to edit the contrast on the site.

Highlight Links

The application allows the user to highlight links on the site.

The application allows the user to see a larger pointer (mouse cursor) to navigate the site.

Stop Animations

The application allows the user to stop animations on the site. This also includes video and CSS animations.

On this website, optimal and accessible browsing is possible using common browsers, and it is recommended to use the following browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and screen readers such as NVDA / Jaws / Voiceover.
